Meet Alok Choudhury: 21K Pacer for ARFE 2018

Alok is a seasoned runner of many years. He started running for keeping himself fit but now running has become his passion and he can’t think of a life without running. He trains regularly and does at least one long run of 20K+ every Sunday and 150-200 km of running every month. 3 years back he became part of Kolkata runners group and has been running and training with them regularly. He has run 20+ half marathons & amp; 25K and getting his PB of 1.47hrs in the last ADHM’17. His first full marathon was TMM in this year only where he finished the same in 4.20 hours despite getting injured during the run and he achieved his PB of 4.14 hours in his 2 and Full marathon in Hyderabad in August’18. He enjoyed his pacing experience in last concluded TSK25K in Kolkata and Run for Independence where he was a pacer of 2.30 hours bus & 65 minutes bus for 10 km. He felt delighted when at least 25 people came and hugged him after they finished their run. He is a very vocal advocate of healthy living and loves to share his running experience and encourage people to take up running. Many of his close friends and colleagues are taking part in Airtel run for Education on 25th of Nov’18. He wants a volunteer for a Pacer because he likes to see the happiness on the faces of more people as they finish their race. He feels if people run with him in ARFE, their perspective towards running will change and they will start enjoying this sport. He would enjoy more if at least 10 people achieved their PB in this run by going with him on his bus rather achieving his PB as an individual runner. He has worked with multinationals like Unilever, ESPN STAR Sports, Sony Entertainment & currently working with a media giant called Discovery Networks Asia Pacific as a Regional head based out of Kolkata.
